Baguette Sandwich and Kinako Spread

Hey it's been a while!? Not that I've been goofing off haha. I made a sandwich bento again! Today's bento is pretty simple but contains my favorite sammies! The fillings are tuna/mayo and kinako spread. This orange-ish thing is a dekopon, I love it! Also contains a small bag of munch for snack.

Although I shared my chocolate spread recipe earlier, I really like peanut spread hehe. It reminds me of my childhood so I used to think of making it on my own but I could never get a pure peanut paste. Also I've thought that KINAKO would go well with bread. In fact, cups of kinako spread are sold at stores. Today I'm sort of excited to share this recipe. So I came up with a kinako spread recipe! Listen, it came out a pretty nice friend of bread heeehooo! By the way, have you heard of kinako? It is a roasted soybean flour, which has literally a bit roasty soybean flavor. It is generally used for flavoring mochi and Japanese confectionery and it's a so healthy food. I use it for meat patty instead of tofu to make it more healthy, and you can mix it into milk to drink as well. I think there is no way you could miss kinako if you can get it!!

kinako spread-2

1 tablespoon butter (melted)
4 tablespoons kinako (roasted soybean flour)
6 tablespoons sweetened/condensed milk

All you need to do is mix all together. If you like yours more creamy you could add a little more butter. If you like yours even more healthy you could use vegetable oil (such as peanut oil, olive one, etc) instead of butter. Either way, adjust the amounts of each ingredient according to your taste. Give it a try!
