Hi all!! I'm finally back here! It's been a long while since the last post!? How have you been? I hope you guys are all doing well, and enjoying your cooking and other things as coping with the summer heat. As for me, I haven't been able to use my computer lately and had a hard time leaving a comment on everyone's post. I've barely managed to check them out, though. In fact, there is the true reason why I was taking a break for such a long time. I hesitate to write here about that, but... I had a painful separation. Hey don't worry, my hubby and kid are both pretty good. I lost a loved one, actually. I haven't felt like doing blog so far. Further, I've been lazy for every kind of things due to the crazy heat this summer. But now I'm okay. Still I feel lonesome every now and then, but I realized that I've got to go forward no matter how painful it is. Also I realized that I'm in good health so I am just lucky enough. If you are well now and can do things you'd like to and can have comfort foods, and of course if you enjoy making bento or something nice for someone, you are happy enough, I really think so now.
Well here are Hubby's recent bentos and Yuppi's lunch.
Cold jyajyamen bento. How filling!
Omusubi & salad bento.
Lunch at home.
My friend gave me Akafuku! You know this?? Can you guess what it's made out of?

Hello! So sorry to hear about your loss. Your bento are always so pretty, I appreciate you sharing them. I was wondering if you would be willing to share your jyajyamen recipe? My husband had it at a restaurant in San Francisco and loved it, but it's very hard to find a recipe.

ReplyDeleteThank you for coming and your kind words! Glad to meet you, Sharon. :D Oh It's my pleasure. I'm sorry, I have no recipe because I usually cook without measuring, but maybe I can write a simple recipe for jajamen. I will try it as soon as I can. I'm glad your husband loved it, too!
